Lionheart Recruitment ("Lionheart", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By using this website or providing us with your information, you agree to the practices described below.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Candidates: name, contact details, CV/resume, work history, qualifications, right-to-work status, salary expectations, references, and any information you choose to share with us.
• Employers / companies: name, business contact details, role briefs, hiring requirements, and related correspondence.
• Free tool users: if you ask us to send you your results from a free tool (such as the Career Path Explorer or our salary benchmarks), we collect your name and email, plus the details you gave that tool: your engineering discipline, seniority, work setting, location, the career path or roles you are interested in, your salary expectation, and whether you are currently looking.
• Website visitors: basic technical and usage information such as your browser type and pages visited, where applicable.

How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you when you email us, submit a CV, register a role, subscribe to alerts, use one of our free online tools and ask us to send you the results, or otherwise contact us. With your consent or where permitted by law, we may also collect information from third parties such as referees, professional networking sites (e.g. LinkedIn), and publicly available sources relevant to recruitment.

How we use your information

• To match candidates with suitable roles and present candidates to prospective employers (with your consent).
• To provide our recruitment services, respond to enquiries, and manage our relationship with you.
• To send you relevant roles, market insights, or talent alerts you have asked for.
• To meet our legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations.

Marketing and alerts

We only send you role alerts, salary updates and market insights if you have asked us to, and every message we send identifies Lionheart Recruitment and includes a one-click unsubscribe. You can withdraw your consent at any time, either through that link or by emailing us, and we will stop. Withdrawing consent does not affect our ability to contact you about a specific role or application you are already involved in.

Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We only share a candidate's details with a prospective employer with the candidate's consent. We may disclose information to trusted service providers who help us operate (such as IT and email providers), and where required or authorised by law.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure. We retain information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as required by law, after which it is securely destroyed or de-identified.

Overseas recipients

Some of the digital tools we use store data on servers located outside Australia. In particular, our candidate records are held in Notion and our website and form handling run on Cloudflare, both of which are United States based providers. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.

Access and correction

You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate or out of date. You may also ask us to remove you from our database or mailing lists at any time. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Cookies and analytics

This website may use cookies or similar technologies to support core functionality and understand how the site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as intended.
